Hear Nelson’s new facility manager roar!

Staff and residents are delighted to welcome Wendy Duffy to Ultimate Care Kensington Court in Stoke, Nelson.
Wendy joins as the new Facility Manager and brings with her a wealth of experience in the specialist aged care sector, having previously worked for Age Concern, Healthcare NZ and Veterans Affairs.
On her appointment, Commercial Director Liza Cox-Hancy said, “Wendy is going to be a great asset to the tight-knit team in Nelson. She has many local connections in the community and is already looking at diversifying the existing activities programme to include more past-times for our male residents.”
Wendy brings with her strong leadership and communication skills, and in her first week at work has been overwhelmed with the kindness shown to her by staff, families and residents alike. Commenting on her arrival she said, “Ultimate Care Kensington Court has a wonderful homely feel. Everyone has been welcoming, friendly and supportive, I’m looking forward to working with the team to continue making the facility flourish.”
Wendy’s favourite mode of transport is riding pillion on her husband’s Triumph Tiger 1050 motorbike. Residents have discovered that when she gets a lift to work, they can hear her before they see her.
